Shoot’ is a new photography club for Melling people who don’t want to spend a fortune, or carry a ton of equipment. It’s premise is that your pictures are the result of your thinking, not the result of your bank balance.
We would like to say a big thank you to the pupils from Melling Primary School who took time to write to Melling Parish Council to thank us for our donation towards their new football kits. We think that the team look fabulous in the new kits and we hope that it brings them lots of luck.

Being a Parish Councillor is a great way to make a real difference to where you live whilst learning lots of new skills.
We hope that many residents will now have received through their door the Melling Survey in which we ask for your thoughts on the two sites within Melling that have been identified by Sefton Council as where future development should take place (Waddicar Lane/Rainbow Drive and Chapel Lane/Woodland Road). If you have not received your copy of the survey yet we will be delivering in your road soon.
Before any planning proposals are made, Melling Parish Council wants to find out what the local community thinks about the village.
Drop in sessions to discuss plans to relocate the Scott Clinic from Rainhill to a new Mersey Care Medium Secure Unit within the grounds of Mersey Care NHS Trust’s Maghull site (near to Ashworth hospital). The proposal being to build a new, 90-bed clinic on the site.
