Molynuex Ward Councillors
Cllr Paula Murphy
My name is Paula Murphy, I was born in 1963. I live in Melling with my partner Kevin and my daughter Hannah.
I was born and grew up in Netherton, moving to Melling in 2001. I attended Our Lady of Walsingham and St Catherine’s High School (now Ambrose Barlow).
I currently work for Knowsley Council in Children’s Services, previously having worked for Liverpool City Council, Sefton Council and Maghull Town Council. In all I’ve worked in local government for 34 years. I’ve seen a lot of changes in the political landscape both locally and nationally but I am proud to be part of the Labour group on Sefton Council.
I have been a councillor for Molyneux ward since 2012, having been recently re-elected for a second term. I am the chair of the Overview and Scrutiny Children’s Services and Safeguarding committee and a member on the Combined Authority’s Scrutiny Panel.
